VAYHAUS Ellijay

It’s hide-and-seek with the ordinary — and the ordinary never stood a chance.

Our Story

Set on 60 secluded acres of rolling North Georgia highlands, Vayhaus Ellijay dissolves the boundaries between avant-garde architecture and raw wilderness. Twelve glass-walled pavilions punctuate the landscape, inviting guests to trade walls for panoramic mountain horizons and star-filled night skies.

Conceived by hospitality visionaries Mike and Raquel Ayres, the retreat pairs design-forward minimalism with creature comforts such as plush king beds, suspended fireplaces and high-speed internet, ensuring every moment feels at once adventurous and effortless. Creeks, meadows and forest trails unfold like chapters in a living story that lingers long after check-out.

The Glass Pavilions: A Stage for the Unseen

Floor-to-ceiling glass frames uninterrupted views of the Appalachian canopy, letting dawn’s first light paint the interior in gold. Skylit bathrooms invite “celestial bathing,” while private dipping pools and hot tubs blur the line between spa indulgence and wild swimming. Modern conveniences—including complimentary ultra-fast Wi-Fi—ensure remote work or streaming never misses a beat.

Out on the porch, a cantilevered hammock hovers above the valley, perfect for sunset reverie. Follow a winding path to the Disco Forest, an evergreen nook laced with ambient lights and music, or settle into the sculptural Culvert Lounge beside the creek for quiet reflection. Later in 2025, creek-side saunas and triple-waterfall plunge pools will amplify the sense of playful discovery across the estate.
